Let me break it down for ya...
We all know the goal with SEO is to create links to your blog and paysites. By following these simple tips, you accomplish this.
First, write something compelling that your readers will enjoy and/or use. With any luck, others will like to your blog and website and link to it.
Secondly, join blog directories like MyBlogLog ans BlogCatalog. This gives you a way to expose your blogs and what you are saying.
Comment on others work. Be nice and constructive. Avoid meanful remarks. Back to the saying "If you have nothing nice to say..."
You need to post regularly on your blog. if your blog gets stale, people will stop visiting.
Use Digg, StumbleUpon, Twitter, facebook, MySpace, Tagged, and any one of the other 200 social websites on the net to tell others about your work.

So you want a website...
There are some basics that need to be covered prior to creating your website. Taking the time to figure out the answers will save you time and money when it comes down to the actual creation of the site.
First contingency is, “Why do I want a website?” Just having one to have one is fine, but with the right focalization, it can become the portal to drive business to you. Define what you want the site to accomplish. Concentrate on that idea. Create keywords and key phrases that relate to your idea and run them in Google Search. See what kind of results you get back and accommodate accordingly. This is part of what we call Search Engine Optimization or SEO.
Coordinating colors and graphics are essential to a good site. Colors that don’t complement and having too many or not enough graphics can make the site disagreeable to internet visitors. Website themes are all over the net and many are free.
Who is going to uphold your site? This is a powerful and usually forgotten question. Know who is responsible for keeping the site up to date. If you have an SEO or SEM plan, you may have to make changes time and again. Sometimes is a good idea to hire somebody to do that for you who is comfortable with coding web pages.
Getting the answers to these questions help speed up the development process. Finding the right person to assist you is very important. Take the time, make the plan, and you site will succeed.

Social Media = Abundance of Customers?
In 1989, "Field of Dreams" gave us that great quote, "If you build it, he will come." Since then, we have metamorphosed it up a little to "If you build it, THEY will come." In the world of the internet, this is not all the time the case.
First off, if you just built your website for your business, getting noticed can take a while. So what do you do? Build connections!
This takes handiwork on your part. Doesn't matter what type of business you have, you will need to get your hands dirty to connect and converse. Connecting to people is as simple as joining Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube, Myspace, Tagged... Anywhere people cluster online, you want to be there.
Ok, you got your pages up in the civil areas, now what? Simple, talk to everybody! Check out their profiles, posts, what activities they play, learn about and talk about these things. Basically, pay attention to them.
Now the hook is set, offer tips, howto's, videos, blog posts. Show them how you can assist them and bring benefit to their life.
GIVE, Give, give. Give them a bite of what you have. Make them unable to say “No Thanks”, but instead say “More please and can I tell my friends about you?” Hook is set and you have reeled them in. This does not mean you conclude, oh no, it means you are on the right track. Keep a good customer directory, share with them, keep your tips and howto’s coming.
Need more info? We too are here to help.

Web site tips to remember concerning SEO
I am always on the look out for information on SEO and the right way to do it. I got this artical from Nick Stamoulis and BING, a light went off.
Just putting up a page or two will not get you ranked on search engines or bring you in tons of business. You need to use SEO Tools to get you moved up on the searches. This being said, Nick dropped us a line on things NOT to do!
Just putting up a page or two will not get you ranked on search engines or bring you in tons of business. You need to use SEO Tools to get you moved up on the searches. This being said, Nick dropped us a line on things NOT to do!
- We all now that keywords are the "key" to getting noticed in search engines. Nick warns us that keywork stuffing, jamming our web site with our keywords, can actually hurt our rankings.
- Javascript and search engines don't really get along. Keep your javascript to a minimum.
- Although they look nice, iFrames are a "sure fire way to kill your SEO efforts" accourding to Nick. The web spiders can't read the frames or what is in them. This means that the spider only sees one page.
- Constant changing of your content is also a BAD idea. Design your page to reflect what you are offering and keep it.
- Having links are your pages is good, having links that go no where is BAD! I use Build Traffic's link checker. Saves me a ton of time.
- It's a good idea to interlink pages of your site. You can hyperlink important text on one page to another, even your blog. Do it tastefully, you don't want your users jumping all over and not really finding what they are looking for.
- Meta tags are as important today as ever. There are some free META tag generators on the web. I use them on ALL of my web sites.
- All your images need an alt value. make them detailed to what the photo/picture is.
- When it comes to web pages, K.I.S.S. really is the way to go. A good home page and then each additional page only covers one topic.
